Walk This Realm -- coming VERY soon!

     Just wanted to announce that the writing and art of Walk This Realm is done! After having started it back around February or March, I finally finished the writing as of September 16. I'm really hyped at the fact that I pulled this one off. Last night, I sat down and just had to write the preface and the special thanks.
     I had finished up tweaking the cover for the book overnight as my friend Lars pointed out the need to tweak the cover's look a bit. All I'll say is this -- the cover itself has a certain personal symbolism to it that most people won't be able to figure out and very likely will make wrong assumptions.
     Today, after I roll out of church, I'm going to go ahead and treat myself to a little photo shoot with my sister just for the back cover to the book. It's the only thing the book's missing and I can't wait to knock that out.
     While I will be continuing a proofread I need to do on a co-worker's wife's book, more writing will come in 2011! You might ask yourself, "hey, shouldn't this knucklehead give himself a year or two before writing a damn poem or a story?" My answer's a no for this reason: if I procrastinate a certain thought or phrase, eventually it will escape and then it's back to the drawing board. Unless it's a short story, it is very likely I'll write it once, correct all typos or structure issues and, as Jay Z would say, "on to the next one!"
     I'm really exited about my new workout routine and how the results are beginning to show early as this past Friday. Oh and uh, Lincoln Center, I love your grassy field -- it helps me think a bit (just don't let me think too hard).

Hey fans,

     Just wanted to let you know that I'm very close to wrapping up Walk This Realm. On top of that, I'm considering to split Taking Over Me in 2 volumes and re-print them in 6 x 9 art style. Why the change? I just realized that I have some artistic talent and seeing words alone do not do it justice. I ran the idea over to Lars and he thought it was cool move.

     I also wanted to let you know that Ron Gunz will, in fact, stay alive. Matter of fact, I may use one of these days to sit down and design my exclusive Ron Gunz rig and settings on my Line 6 Floor Pod Plus.

This past week

     Hey there my beloved gunzmen! Thought I'd take some time to let you guys know what I've been up to. It's been quite a good week for me, albeit very relaxing as well.
      Thus far, I managed to change up my workout routine, especially the approach. Right now it's looking very much like the following:


Monday - Chest/Triceps w/45 mins VO2 Max Cardio
Tuesday -Shoulders w/30 mins cardio
Wednesday - Back/Biceps w/10 pre- and post-workout cardio
Thursday - Legs/Abs w/5 mins pre-workout & 20 mins post-workout cardio
Friday - Off

     As far as supplements go, just some good ol' vitamins, fish oil and some B12. Diet-wise, I have my temptations but I push myself to avoid eating after 8pm. No easy task for us Ricans.
     I might sit down and just record a few guitar/song ideas as some stuff have surfaced in my head. Meanwhile, I've also decided to slowly learn drums. I don't plan on being Peart, Portnoy, Rev, Eugene Rivera or Danny Rodriguez but I felt it was time to give drumming a try on the side, especially for ideas and to channel out my inner drummer tendencies that itch their way when I listen to music. If I can get to at least be as good as the Phil Rudd (AC/DC), I'll be fine lol.
     Hanging out with my buddy Alisha's been fun too. From goin' to Ft. Greene Park to just Netflixing to even wrestling. I give her props, she's pretty strong and my shoulder's kinda sore as it is.
     Fellowshipping on a more consistent basis this past week has been quite the comfort for me. I definitely missed catching up with the church folk and just simply enjoying ourselves in the Lord and stuff. Times are tough but unity has its way of helping people overcome. Even if everything else vaporized, if we hold onto the very source of life itself, we'll be alright.
